For more than 70 years, Kaiser Permanente has had the same mission: to provide high-quality, affordable health care services and to improve the health of our members and our communities. We’ve always known that health goes beyond health care. Our strategy for addressing the root causes of poor health is now evolving at a faster pace.
Integrating care, affordability and community health is vital to meeting our mission for our 12 million members and the 68 million people who live in the communities we serve — because healthy individuals need healthy communities and healthy communities need healthy people.
What is community health?
The Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia cares for people--both inside and outside of the exam room. As a non-profit, tax-exempt health plan, our idea of health care goes beyond the medical facility and into the 32 counties that comprise our Georgia service area.
Community Health supports efforts that improve access to care for all, especially low income and under-resourced communities. We work to benefit the community at-large by addressing issues most affecting residents' health as documented in our Community Health Needs Assessment. Community Health is more than what we do - its who we are.

Kaiser Permanente’s Mobile Health Vehicle (MHV) partners with organizations to bring FREE health screenings, health coaching, and resource referrals to communities. We are available for weekday and weekend events.
